Museum Map

The museum is housed in a former doctors clinic. The clinic was built in 1937. The museum has many rooms of artifacts and a very extensive research library (the Draper Library). The former lobby is where the Aladdin Lamps are displayed. The many lamps show the variety of oil and electric lamps, many made right here in Alexandria. There are other rooms like: medical, business and industry, farm life, clubs and organizations, famous sons and daughters, home life, schools, military, and the sports room. You can ask for a guided tour or take your own time flowing from room to room and seeing the many memories of our community.

Our location: 313 N Harrison St Alexandria, IN 46001
